Knowing the exact time of birth is the first and the most important requirement of any professional astrological consultation and it guarantees high quality services. Knowing the accurate time of birth is essential for a better understanding of the entire horoscope of a person. But its most important use is in giving a better accuracy in the predictions regarding the most remarkable events in the future life of the individual. A difference of 4 minutes with the real time of birth can result in a margin of error of one year in the predictions (in 85 to 100% of cases), a difference of 20 minutes resulting in a margin of 5 years, etc. Finding the exact time of birth of the individual is perhaps the most difficult and most important task of an astrologer. An accurate horoscope is a tool that will help you in many situations, because the key to understanding your fate will then be in your hands.

The rectification of the horoscope (from Latin rectus – «correct» and facio – «I do») is the determination, adjustment, or correction of the time of birth to the minute, or even down to the second, based on past  events of your life.

Why is it necessary to rectify this time? The opinion of the parents about the time of birth, or even the birth certificate of the child are not the final authorities, as the time determined by medical authorities is in many cases inaccurate (although in this latter case, the correction is not usually of a significant margin). Almost no one can say with precision on what time they were born. After all, even if you were born in front of a clock, it does not guarantee the accuracy of the information: what should be considered as the moment of birth? The coming out of the head, the cutting of the umbilical cord, the first time you burst into tears?

Therefore, determining the astrological time of birth is indeed the first task of an astrologer when meeting a new customer, the one on which will depend all his other tasks. It is the starting point and the first impulse of the life program of a person, of what she will be brought to accomplish in her current incarnation. Any professional astrologer knows that the time of birth given by the client is always inaccurate, and by using only that information in the preparation of a horoscope, an incompetent astrologer betrays himself.

PREREQUISITES

The basic requirements for the rectification of the horoscope are birth data recorded as day, month, year, place of birth, and two photos of the face (side and front view) and one from head to feet.
